Welcome! I adapt the work I do in psychotherapy to each individual client as I’ve found (and research shows) that each person benefits from an individualized treatment plan and a psychologist who is knowledgeable and experienced in a range of treatment modalities.
I will work collaboratively with you in order to make sure your needs and treatment goals are being met in the way that feels right for you. I draw from a number of traditional psychotherapy theories and techniques including psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive-behavioral. I help people with a wide variety of concerns including, but not limited to, depression, anxiety, and relationship struggles; spiritual, religious, and existential concerns; sexual orientation and sexual identity concerns; and addictive behaviors.
I’ve also seen many clients benefit from mindfulness practice and other eastern-infused practices. I take a holistic view in that oftentimes it’s important to address different domains of life to improve well-being. For instance, recovering from depression may involve working on the emotional, mental, physical, and relational aspects of one’s life.
I am open and affirming of individuals of every background, sexual orientation, gender identity, race, ethnicity, religion, and ability status.
I find it’s most helpful if we speak over the phone and then set up an initial meeting in order to determine together if I’m the best fit for you and your treatment goals. If it’s decided that I’m not the right person to help you, I will assist in helping you find another treatment provider.
